Electronic Security Technician I (ESTI)

Job Responsibilities:
Individual is responsible for configuration, documentation, troubleshooting, and repair / maintenance of IP based physical security systems including Video Surveillance and Access Control.

Description of Duties and Tasks:

  • Repair / Maintenance of Deployed systems to include reading hardware logs, factory tests and interfacing with manufacturers for RMA
  • Troubleshooting / Help Desk for currently deployed systems
  • Configuration of IP based systems to include:
    • Rack Assembly
    • Mounting / Interconnecting Hardware
    • Wiring Devices for Power and Communication
    • Labeling / Testing Equipment
  • Documentation of IP systems logical and physical (diagrams) / programming documentation.
  • Configuration / Test & Validation / Documentation / Installation of new security systems.

Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of cabling and network infrastructure mediums including Copper / Fiber / Wireless
  • Working knowledge of various Windows Operating Systems
  • Knowledge of computer hardware
  • Basic introductory knowledge of Networks including switches and routers
  • Basic Electronic knowledge including circuit / electronic flow, use of multi-meter and wiring
  • Knowledge and use of basic hand tools / equipment assembly
  • Software products including Microsoft Office

Electronic Security Project Manager (ESPM)

Job Responsibilities:
Individual responsibilities include planning, scheduling, organizing and directing, oversee material and equipment procurement, field installation and start-up of assigned projects. All projects must be effectively executed within time schedules and budgeted cost in mind. Responsible for interfacing with the customer, maximizing customer satisfaction, safety, and quality on all projects.

Description of Duties and Tasks:

  • Manages, oversees and coordinates all aspects of projects from award through completion of project, including: overall site management of project(s) for successful and timely completion within budget.
  • Prepares project installation plan, manages the plan and prepares and implements job procedures.
  • Translates customer offerings and needs / requirements into detailed project implementation plans to meet Customer expectations; reviews and approves estimated costs prior to bid; supervision of project design engineering; supervision of installation labor and subcontractors’ preparation of project schedules, subcontracts, change proposals, project invoices. Gather all necessary information and oversee the assembly process for the Documentation of IP systems logical and physical (diagrams) / programming documentation and Configuration / Test & Validation / Documentation / Installation of new security systems.
  • Communicates project requirements to project team and wider organization as needed, and maintains accurate and up to date records of job status, job changes, material flow and other control records necessary for processing of internal and external reports.
  • Identifies potential project risks and develops/implements strategies to minimize any impact on estimated costs and project deadlines.
  • On a regular basis, communicate with customer, on all project schedules, project change proposals and related project activities.
  • Coordinates the procurement of materials, supplies, services and controls necessary for timely and cost-effective completion of project within budget.
  • Establish project milestones and analyze costs; provide timely and accurate project cost reports; adjusts or corrects project plan and/or project cost estimates as necessary to meet financial goals.
  • Manages the execution and review of all scope of work, terms and conditions in customer contracts including cost control, delivery fulfillment, and quality of service and other customer requirements.
  • Oversees subcontractor selection process and work.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of cabling and network infrastructure mediums including Copper / Fiber / Wireless
  • Working Knowledge of AutoCad
  • Ability to effectively read and understand construction documents including CAD drawings and Specifications.
  • Working knowledge of various Windows Operating Systems
  • Working knowledge of various VMS system: Avigilon, Milestone, Exacq Vision, Axis Communications.
  • Working knowledge of various Access Control Systems: Avigilon ACM, AMAG, S2
  • Knowledge of computer hardware
  • Basic introductory knowledge of Networks including switches and routers
  • Basic Electronic knowledge including circuit / electronic flow, use of multi-meter and wiring
  • Knowledge and use of basic hand tools / equipment assembly
  • Software products including Microsoft Office

  • AA or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering or Electronics or related focus or Equivalent

Other:

  • Must be a US Citizen and will be subjected to a Government security investigation / Background Check
